What is a CTM routine? Why is it important?

A CTM routine is a three-step basic skincare routine including:

Step 1: Cleanser

Step 2: Toner

Step 3: Moisturiser

This routine is suitable for everyone and should be followed. I will now tell you how different skin type people can follow this routine.

Let's start with step 1:

CLEANSER

Why should we use a cleanser? The cleanser helps in getting rid of the dirt, pollution, and excess oils. If not cleaned properly it can cause breakouts, dull skin, and aging.

1 Normal Skin Type

If you are a normal skin type you are one of the lucky ones feel free to try any cleanser as long as your skin can tolerate it.

2. Dry Skin Type

For dry skin type go for milk, cream, or lotion cleansers these won't strip out the moisture from your face hence leaving it plump. If you apply makeup you can also go for an oil-based cleanser.

3. Oily Skin Type

If you are an oily skin type look for salicylic acid in your cleanser. Salicylic acid removes excess oils (sebum) from the skin. Oily skin tends to be acne-prone so look for cleansers that prevent acne.

4. Combination and sensitive skin type

Combination and sensitive skin type both should use a mild cleanser that will not strip them down of moisture but will still workes it should be soap-free and paraben-free.

TONER

A toner helps in closing the pores and getting rid of any impurities which were left while cleansing it also helps in maintaining the PH levels of skin after you washed it.

1. Normal skin type

Again you are the lucky one to use whatever toner you like until it is not irritating your skin. Do a patch test first.

2. Dry skin type

Dry skin should go for hydrating toners just like shown in the picture. It is a rose hip toner by Aroma magic. Look for Glycerin and hyaluronic acid in it.

3. Oily Skin type

Toners are a must for oily skin out there help in controlling extra oil on your skin helps to tighten the pores and maintain PH levels of the skin. Go for pore tightening and look for salicylic acid in it.

4. Combination and Sensitive Skin type

For this skin type avoid Toners with artificial fragrance in them look for Aloe Vera or ingredients which will give a soothing effect to your skin.

MOISTURISER

Moisturiser is a must not matter what skin type you are you need moisturizer. A moisturiser helps in providing that hydration your skin needs increases the elasticity of the skin which will help fight aging as well.

1. Normal Skin Type
Normal skin type should go for a water-based moisturizer which will neither be too oily nor too dry to maintain natural moisture on your face.

2. Dry Skin Type
Look for hyaluronic acidceramidesglycerin which will provide that lasting moisturization.

3. Oily Skin Type
Do not use moisturizers with petroleum and mineral oils in them otherwise, it will clog your pores. Look for Glycolic acid, Hyaluronic Acid in it.

4. Combination and Sensitive skin type
Use Paraben and fragrance-free moisturizer.

That's all that is needed to be done.

I hope you will find this helpful and helped you in finding your perfect CTM routine.
